More about petrol consumptions

As the last post talks about fuel consumption I will spoil a little the news of the summer and I will talk about the new Miata consumption.

As you can see those two are my yesterdays two visits to the gas station.
In total it shows a consumption of 44.17L at 64.51€.... it is not cheap at all, but it could have been worst since I did 590.5km

It shows a 7.48L / 100km (running at legal speeds and mostly using 120km/h highways) or 10,92€ / 100km, quite far away from my 7€/100km my LPG car makes.

If I make the maths using those figures:
GPL install = 1800€+IVA (VAT) = 2178€
Assuming it uses the same amount of LPG as my Octavia then we can see that we can save 4€ each 100km and 2178/4=544.5 meaning that I would have to make 54500km to break even.

Something that needs a lot of thinking though since looks like I would use almost half of the trunk for the LPG tank. :-( Unfortunately there is no other location to place it.

LPG fuel running cost (o GPl o GLP ;-) as of today

This is exactly how much it costs me to make 568km when I use my LPG (GPL)  car.

It varies from 6.7€ to 7€ each 100km depending on the cost of the gas. It has gone a bit high lately, but with petrol at 1.55€....

I guess it is cheaper than using most diesel cars and with the comfort and refinement of petrol :-)

In my old diesel car it would has cost me around 49€ so I think I did the right thing when I transformed my petrol car to LPG :-D... with regular petrol it would have gone circa 68€...

El Escorial en primavera

Hace pocos días estuvimos en El Escorial pasando el dia.
Ni me va ni me viene. Es un sitio curioso que no me dice nada.
Si te gusta entonces visitalo.

Eso si, hay varias rutas desde Madrid para llegar al mismo, pero yendo en moto recomiendo la más lenta, es deliciosa y en los días de calor horroroso de Madrid el pasar entre los árboles es refrescante y relajante.

Dublin in the anniversary of Titanic

This year has been the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, and I was in Dublin during those celebrations.
Not a very nice thing to celebrate but it was good to see that Dublin was exactly as I could remember it.
We were in the usual places and nothing looked too different. The most astonishing thing was to see so much young people wandering around day and night.
They have the future (if any at all).
